Paulraj is our butcher supervisor working from our factory at Pandan Loop. A typical weekday for him starts at 5am and finishes at 3pm. Yes, this is how early he and some of the butchers working from the factory start so as to have orders reach our wholesale customers timely.
Paulraj started his career in the hospitality industry in India, where he is from. Then he moved to a catering college as a lecturer. Two years later, he found himself thirsty to see the world and he moved to Singapore, leaving his girlfriend behind.

Four years ago, he returned to India and married his girlfriend. Paulraj emphasized that his is a “love marriage”. 90% of marriages in India are arranged, not so for Paulraj’s. He told his parents that he is in love with his cousin – three months later, a wedding was arranged.
He professed to be a good cook – whether he is or not, we have to find out. His favourite thing to cook is Chicken Chitti Nado (spicy chicken with gravy) and briyani. Ever heard of Karai Kudi Pepper Chicken Marsala with Ghee Rice? It is another kind of spicy chicken and is his favourite food at the moment.
