Byron Bay Tea Company
(hereafter BBTC) is an exciting tea company that specialises in high-quality
tea blends, herbal tisanes and organic teas. Their signature range has been
blended for health and is a favourite amongst the more adventurous and
health-conscious tea drinkers. It was said that
Miranda Kerr is also a fan of BBTC teas!
Sarita,
who is a naturopath and herbalist, used her herbal medicine knowledge and
experience with herbs to create the brand’s signature blends. She also started experimenting with form and flavour and using other exotic
ingredients like vanilla bean, berries and spices to create some unique and
delicious flavours. So, their teas are not just healthy but tasty as well.
Over the years, many product lines have been added to
cater to the different tastes and requirements of consumers. The first range
developed was the signature organic herbal teas, followed by the traditional
tea range and the oriental tea range. Their black teas are sourced from Sri Lanka
and India; their oriental teas sourced from China and Taiwan.

English Breakfast
This
is a traditional blend of the finest quality Assam and Ceylon black teas
producing a fully aromatic blend with a balanced and rich flavour. It is made
of a full leaf, high-grade tea grown at a high elevation, and is handpicked and
processed by tea artisans – not machine-picked like many commodity teas.
Earl Grey
This
is a classically scented black tea with natural bergamot oil which gives a
refreshing, lightly citrus flavour.
Organic Sencha Green
This
Organic Sencha Green tea is made from a prized, large, flat-leafed Green tea
and has a beautiful light green liquor when steeped. The traditional handling
methods of this tea help to preserve and enhance the tea’s flavour and
nutrients resulting in a fine quality green tea.
Organic Peppermint
The
fresh, minty taste of peppermint makes this infusion cooling and invigorating.

Buddha's Tears
Buddha’s
tears roll tenderly from the tea plant; made with the bud and first two leaves.
Carefully plucked and hand-crafted into tiny pearls, they are then scented with
fresh jasmine blossoms. Once removed from their floral cocoon, the tiny pearls
are ready to be brewed. With a pale liquor and delicate taste, Buddha’s tears
provide a soul-soothing treat at any time of day.
Jasmine
This
delicately flavoured jasmine tea features freshly rolled green tea leaves
scented with exotic jasmine blossoms. Cool and refreshing, with a beautifully
floral scent, this is a favourite among Chinese tea-drinkers.
Oolong

Guan Yin or Iron Goddess is probably the best-known Chinese high-grade Oolongs.
A light, semi-fermented, whole-leaf tea that is low in caffeine, high in

digestion. Renowned in Asia for weight loss, this fresh, earthy flavour carries
a lingering aroma, as well as subtle undertones of florals and fruits.
White
Pai
Mu Tan is a delicate and refreshing tea, which is derived from the young, silvery
leaves of the tea plant during early spring. It contains a high level of
antioxidants, is lower in caffeine than other tea and comes with a broad range
of health benefits. Sweet floral and nutty aromas complement the smooth yet
mild flavour, making this an enjoyable refreshment any time of the day.

It is recommended to use 1 teaspoon per cup of
boiling water and infusing for 5-7 minutes as a general rule. For Green, White
or Oolong tea, the water must be near boiling otherwise it could scorch the tea
leaf.
